FSG & GBCHealth are hosting a webinar tomorrow (Wednesday, June 13) titled Competing by Saving Lives: Stories of Implementation. PSI CEO Karl Hofmann will participate in the discussion alongside Duncan Learmouth, GSK; Ole Kjerkegaard Nielson, Novo Nordish; and Kathy Pickus, Abbott.
The discussion will center around the theme of shared value (seen above). Shared value is defined by FSG as the “idea that companies can compete on the basis of solving social problems is gaining increasing attention around the world.” The report Competing by Saving Lives published in March examined how pharmaceutical and medical device companies create shared value in global health,” by reconceiving their products and markets, redefining productivity in their value chains and strengthening local health clusters.”
The panel members, moderated by FSG’s Kyle Peterson, will discuss their experiences in global health within the context of creating shared value in the private and public sector.
