Father’s Day is a chance to thank the father in your life and show him how much you care about him. This year, it can and should also be a chance to help families that struggle for access to affordable health care that can enable their children reach their 5th birthday.
For millions of parents in the developing world, it is a daily reality to wake up in the middle of the night to find their child ill with a life-threatening fever or illness. The parents may have to carry the child by foot to the nearest clinic, which can often be two days away. This tragedy unfolds every day, but with your help, the goal of ending preventable child deaths within the next generation is within reach.
PSI trains health workers to provide life-saving services in the communities where people live. PSI also delivers vital health products and information to hard-to-reach and underserved people, enabling them to keep their families safe. Your contribution to PSI will help give parents peace of mind knowing that care for their children is within reach.
Wish your dad a Happy Father’s Day by making a donation in his honor to PSI and joining the effort to ensure that every child has the chance to celebrate his or her 5th birthday. You can also join us on twitter (@psihealthylives) by using the hash tag #fathersday to share why fathers are an important part of child survival.
